THE PARIKHS

We have captured and represented Om through a unique art form as a book sculpture. This book sculpture was used as a wedding invitation for the Parikhs. A book has traditionally served as a tool to record historical events that transcend through the ages, passing down knowledge from generation to generation, spanning scientific studies to artistic fields. Today, in the digital age it has become much more more than just a recording tool, and are transformed into a form of art which is generally known as book sculptures. Here the book is given an alternative visual interpretation as the symbol of Om. Using the technique of paper folding by human hands, this book has taken a new form, transforming from its original purpose into an art form with traditional significance in our Hindu religion.
